About OVRI
In 2025, professionals from Ontario’s vegetated roof industry came together to form OVRI to advance vegetated roofing in Ontario and support adoption of consistent, province‑wide standards and incentives.
Mission
OVRI’s Mission is to represent, advance, and protect the specialized interests of professionals engaged in the design, installation, and maintenance of vegetated roofing systems in Ontario.
We aim to align the industry around provincial technical recognition (e.g., CSA wind uplift and green roof construction standards) and building municipal frameworks that support vegetated roofs through credible incentive mechanisms and outcomes-based research. We aim to be the provincial authority on building‑integrated horticulture and support urban resilience through proven, cost‑effective green infrastructure.
